SPICE OF LIFE :: FLIP GRATER + ADI DICK :: 13/12/08

We welcome to our last gig of the year the amazing Adi Dick. Adi first came to prominence due to his involvement in the formidable Fly My Pretties project, but this was soon eclipsed by his excellent debut album “Our Place”, that came out on LOOP last year. You can check him out at www.myspace.com/adidick.

Also playing is the lovely Flip Grater, bringing an end to a rambling tour through Europe that has taken in Amsterdam, Paris, Copenhagen and more. Along the way she has been collecting recipes for her next cookbook, so maybe bring some down to the gig to submit? More info on her at www.myspace.com/flipgrater.

The Spice of Life is an intimate room, downstairs from a pub just off Charring Cross Road, so perfectly placed to come for a quiet drink or six at the end of a busy day Xmas shopping!

There are still some credit crunch busting tickets for £4 +b/f at Ticketweb.co.uk (08700 600 100), otherwise it will be £6 on the door.

Doors: 7pm-11pm
At: 6 Moor St, Cambridge Circus. W1D 5NA
Nearest tube: Leicester Square or Trafalgar Square
Venue website: www.spiceoflifesoho.com

BORDERLINE :: DON MCGLASHAN :: 22/01/09

You may know Mr McGlashan from his days in The Mutton Birds, or Blam Blam Blam or possibly even The Front Lawn. Wherever you know him from, you are sure to have heard his songs over the years: “Anchor Me”, “Dominion Road”, “Nature”, “There is no Depression in New Zealand” and last year’s smash hit that Don wrote for Hollie Smith, “Bathe in the River”.

Who knows what he will be singing at this solo show just off Soho, but it is sure to be good! Advance tickets are £8 +b/f from www.ticketweb.co.uk (08700 600 100) or www.seetickets.com, otherwise it will be £12 on the door.

Doors: 7pm
At: Orange Yard, 16 Manette Street, London, W1D 4AR
Nearest tube: Leicester Square
Venue website: www.meanfiddler.com
