BIG CHILL BAR :: HUMMEL :: 02/11/05

Hummel is perhaps better known at the moment for his sterling remix of The Black Seeds’ “Your Sunrise” and his live work with Rhian Sheehan than he is for his own material, but hopefully that will change with the release of his sixth solo album, out sometime early next year. For this show he has been preparing a downbeat(ish) dubby montage incorporating “obscure NZ shxt” (his words) into a “live” laptop performance of his own quirky electronica. Also playing will be Clare B and the Crazy Baldhead.

From: 7pm til 12am
On: Dray Walk, just off Brick Lane, London E1 6QL
Nearest tubes: Liverpool Street or Aldgate East

NEIGHBOURHOOD :: SHAPESHIFTER :: 17/11/05

Tickets are flying fast off the shelves for this, Shapeshifter’s first and only London headline show this winter. Given that the boys have been working on their third album, the follow up to the Gold selling “Riddim Wise”, expect to hear some new tunes alongside the classics, including the updated version of 2001’s “Tapestry”, a cut of which appears on the new “Dub Conspiracy” collection, compiled and released by the Salmonella crew in September.

Supporting them will be very special guest MC Tali and on DJ duty will be OG (Central Records) and Kaps (Soun).

Tickets are £10+b/f in advance from Ticketweb (08700 600 100) – http://ticketweb.co.uk/user/?region=uk&query=detail&event=141032

From: 8pm til 2am (Onstage at 9pm)
At: Neighbourhood, 12 Acklam Road, London W10 5QZ
