THE PACIFIC TAVERN :: STINKY JIM + DUB MODULE :: 01/08/26
Presenting the perfect way to spend a Sunday in August – good food in a great pub with wicked tunes spun by two veterans of Aotearoa’s music scene.
Stinky Jim (aka Jim Pinckney) has been a fixture on the New Zealand music scene for about four decades as a live DJ, music writer, radio presenter (the long-running Stinky Grooves on Auckland’s 95bFM), label owner (Round Trip Mars), facilitator, co-founder of Unitone Hi-Fi with Joost Langeveld and much more.
Dub Module (aka Mike Hodgson) is a multimedia artist, musician, robot collector, video punk, and live event aficionado, who once used sub bass to distract a rugby league team from getting a try. He and Paddy Free form duo Pitch Black and solo projects include The Projector Mix and Misled Convoy.

We’re honoured to be presenting the debut European performance by Troy Kingi this August.
A multi-genre musician, Troy Kingi rose to fame after the release of his first two multi-award-winning albums ‘Guitar Party at Uncles Bach‘ and ‘Shake That Skinny Ass All the Way to Zygertron’, along with memorable major acting roles in Kiwi films including ‘Hunt For The Wilderpeople’, ‘The Pā Boys‘, ‘Mt Zion‘ and ‘The Breaker Upperers’.
Over and above his love for acting, Kingi’s passion for music has led to a successful and ever-expanding artistic career, with his current focus the 10/10/10 series – ten albums, in ten genres, over ten years. So far Troy has travelled through blues, deep roots, psychedelic soul, funk, folk and 80’s, with his audience lovingly followinghim on this journey, never knowing what the next release will bring but still avidly collecting all formats of the releases and attending the many & varied shows.
With one album left to complete in the series, Kingi has created a discography ambitious in scale and significance in its contribution to Aotearoa’s rich musical history.

HOPE & ANCHOR :: OSCAR LADELL & WILSON BLACKLEY :: 16/08/26
Oscar LaDell and Wilson Blackley are bringing their soulful sounds to the UK this August on a co-headline tour.
Aotearoa-born Oscar LaDell’s music is deeply evocative in its oscillation between the personal and political, with songs anchored by his rich, storied voice. With his upcoming debut album Untouchable and preceding singles, Oscar tells the story of living his 20’s in the 2020’s; a coming-of-age characterized by heartbreak, resilience and the need for change.
No stranger to touring, since 2024 LaDell has warmed the stage for blues legends Charlie Musselwhite, Robben Ford and Christone ‘Kingfish’ Ingram, as well as his father King Leo. Most recently, in April and May 2025, LaDell travelled with blues troubadour Eric Bibb as the support act for his Australian tour.
Naarm-based Wilson Blackley is a multi-instrumentalist and producer who was raised on his mother’s record collection, absorbing a large variety of genres. His own songs toe the line between love and pain, provoking his audience’s imaginations, and reinventing the spaces in which he performs.
Following the success of Home (co-produced by Sam Teskey of The Teskey Brothers) Blackley moved to St Kilda and released his debut EP Material Plane P1 to critical acclaim. Last year he featured on Cookin On 3 Burner’s 7th studio album and joined them for a run of sold out shows. His latest EP Asthmatic comes out this August.
