THE VIBE BAR :: KING KAPISI + I AM GIANT + MORE :: 25/09/2010
It’s that time of year again when The Vibe Bar, in association with Steinlager and KEA, hosts a showcase of quality New Zealand music. Normally this would be the day after Toast, but due its cancellation, we have brought the day forward to take it’s place.
Headlining the Bar area downstairs is Samoan hip hop royalty in the form of King Kapisi, who will be busting fresh rhymes from his new album. Also playing is fellow old school legend DLT, the former Upper Hutt Posse member and creator of the hit single “Chains” (featuring Che Fu).
Upstairs in the Live room, we have I Am Giant, a group formed by Shelton Woolright from Blindspott and Paul Mathews from Tadpole. Supporting them are local boys Lotus Mason and the seriously funky Davey Caine and the Sweet&Serious.
There are no advance sales for this show but it will be £4 on the door.

It seems there are some very observant people out there – we had to delay announcing the show for various reasons, and in the meantime not just the ground floor has sold out but the first floor too! This show will SELL OUT and is the band’s ONLY London show in 2010 so if you want to come, please get your tickets now to avoid disappointment.
