Everything is hotting up nicely for our Waitangi Day event this coming Sunday. There are no changes to the musical line up since our last email – to find out more about the artists performing, please check’s homepage. Oh and you can now download tracks by New Telepathics for FREE from

The Cargo chefs have created a special menu for the day featuring roast lamb in pitta bread with tomatillo salsa & salad; green lip mussels with sweet chilli sauce & garlic crumb; and sweet potato fries (the nearest they can do to kumara chips in this country!). There will also be a discounted beer all night.

Doors are open from 4pm til 12am.
Entry will be £3 before 6pm and £5 after. There will be no advance ticket sales.

From February onwards, we will be hosting the 2nd Wednesday of every month at the Big Chill Bar. This offshoot of the successful music festival is just off Brick Lane and is managed by the same crew behind Cargo, Cantaloupe and Market Place.

Our residency kicks off with a Round Trip Mars showcase by Stinky Jim, plus sets from Crazy Baldhead and Mikey Ray. In the following months we will be putting on Joe Dukie & DJ Fitchie, Reuben Sutherland, Hummel, Nathan Haines, Mosus, Flic and many many more.

Doors swing open at 7pm and slide shut at 12am.
And best of all, it is FREE all night.

Ingredients: 50ml 42 Below Passionfruit Vodka, 10mls Passover Slivovitz (12 year old plum brandy 70% A.B.V.), dash passionfruit syrup, 1 fresh lime (cut into wedges), 3 barspoons raw sugar
Glass: Collins/Sling
Method: Muddle sugar, syrup and lime. Add crushed ice to top. Pour vodka then brandy over ice. Stir well and top with crushed ice.
